Back frm Kota Tinggi ytd!! it was so much fun there with zixuan, yuhui, xiuwei, kayying and the teachers, though it kept raining for 3 out of 4 days!
A brief summary of the activities:
1st day: Jungle trek
2nd day: Jungle trek again
3rd day: Service learning at old folks' home
4th day: "Paintball"
To start it off, we reported to school at 7am on wednesday.. bus ride to kota tinggi was pretty short, less than 2.5hrs.. soon after we alighted from the bus at kota tinggi, the jungle trek started.. it was a trip of supposedly 4hrs to the summit and another 2hrs down, but..., there was quite a number of breaks in between and the time taken was extended.. was quite tired at the end as there were only me and zixuan covering the trek, and we had to lug our cameras up the hill while climbing up the rocks and walking thru the water..
The trek on the second day was not as bad as the first day as yuhui and kayying joined us, but we only brought one camera up, so it was pretty relaxed. and then, it started to rain halfway, but that didnt stop the campers from continuing.. in the end, since everybody was wet from the rain, the campers started to play in the water, splashing the water on the other class and the teachers, and we joined in too.. we had a great time! well, the fun continued at night, when we took pictures with light painting! first try at this, and the pictures turned out not as nice.. mdm liew joined us when we asked her to.. i must say she is really sporty!
Service learning was great too, with zixuan, yuhui, the teachers, and the chickens!! took quite a few unglam pics of them( zix, yuhui, campers and teachers), but most of yuhui's pics were deleted by her! we saw chickens running around in a house near the old folks' home, and we went snapping off pretty fast cos we couldnt see this kind of things in singapore now.. i think the kids inside must have thought how suaku the 3 of us have been, taking photos of them and the chickens! haha!!
Last day, supposed to take pictures of the paintball, but it was raining.. so, while the campers went on with the activity, me and zixuan stoned in the meeting room while yuhui, kayying and xiuwei were out at the old folks' home.. so after the all the campers came back and washed up at 3.30plus, we had a very very very early dinner and set off back to singapore after that.. reached singapore at around 8pm..
photos will be up on facebook, however, to avoid any trouble, only photos with the Sec5 facils and the 4 photographers will be up.. unglam pics of campers, instructors and the teachers will not be posted.. i dont wanna get killed by the teachers!!
